Mackenzi Tallcott, MS, CCC-SLP
Owner/Speech Language Pathologist

Hello! My name is Mackenzi and I am a Speech Language Pathologist. I live in Quincy, IL, which is my home town. I have had the opportunity to live in multiple states, which has allowed me to gain experience with a variety of populations in multiple settings including Early Intervention (birth - 3), Schools (PreK - 12th grade), Outpatient (Pediatric & Adult), Acute Inpatient, and Inpatient Rehabilitation. If you are a parent seeking speech therapy services for your child, we can work together to ACHIEVE your goals! Let's chat - I'd love to get to know you!

"At ten months old our son, Thomas, went from saying his first word and babbling to almost completely silent. He suffered multiple ear infections and shortly before his first birthday we learned that the infections had negatively affected his hearing. He was able to have tubes put in, but when he still didn't babble and speak, we knew we needed to act. Mackenzi was great from the start! She met with us and got to know about Thomas. During his treatment Thomas came to love having visits from Mackenzi. At first he was scared of her like he was most people, but after a couple sessions, he couldn't wait for her to walk from her car to our front door. As a teacher, I knew how important talking, reading and singing to young children was, but she was able to give me more ideas, examples, and literature to help assist me in working with Thomas. She even included our six-year-old daughter and encouraged her to help her brother. We watched Thomas improve from one or two words at nearly 18 months to more words than we could count by 21 months. Now, at two and half, he is confident enough to speak to people outside our immediate family. He speaks in three word sentences consistently and becomes more easily understood daily. I can't say enough about Mackenzi. She motivated Thomas, encouraged us, educated us, and helped us, help him find his voice!"
